About Us
The Webster Parish School Board (WPSB) serves as the governing body for public education in Webster Parish, Louisiana. Headquartered in Minden, WPSB is driven by a clear mission: to develop lifelong learners and responsible citizens prepared to succeed in a global society. We are committed to providing high-quality, inclusive, and forward-thinking education that supports every child’s academic, social, and personal growth.
Our Mission & Vision
Our mission guides every decision we make. In partnership with families and local communities, our responsive and innovative educators create meaningful learning experiences that honor the uniqueness of each student.
We envision a world-class school system that nurtures creativity, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving—empowering every student to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Who We Serve
WPSB operates a diverse network of elementary, junior high, high schools, and alternative education programs across Webster Parish. We proudly provide comprehensive support services, including specialized programs for students with disabilities, ensuring access to a free and appropriate public education and helping each student reach their fullest potential.
Governance & Leadership
The School Board consists of twelve elected members who represent districts across the parish. Together with the superintendent and district leadership team, they provide strategic direction, set policy, and ensure responsible stewardship of resources. Their collective focus is to strengthen academic achievement, build community trust, and maintain safe, inclusive learning environments.
Commitment to Community
We believe strong schools are built through strong partnerships. WPSB collaborates closely with families, staff, and community stakeholders to ensure our schools remain student-centered, well-supported, and responsive to community needs. Through transparent governance and thoughtful planning, we remain committed to making visionary, fiscally responsible decisions that support student success today and shape bright futures for years to come.
