The Webster Parish School Board hereby provides public notice of its intent to request a waiver under the Title IV, Part A Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) Program authorized under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). ESSA requires school districts seeking certain federal program waivers to provide notice and an opportunity for public input prior to submission of the waiver request.

Webster Parish School Board plans to request flexibility in the expenditure requirements for Title IV, Part A funds to allow the district to better address local needs identified through its comprehensive needs assessment and stakeholder consultation process. The proposed waiver would permit the district to invest a greater portion of available funds in activities that support Well-Rounded Educational Opportunities and Safe and Healthy Students.
