CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT
The CNA program is a healthcare foundational certificate that is included in both the Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program at NWLTCC. Courses are also included in the Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology.
At the completion of the theory class (80 hours) and clinical experience (75 hours), students will be assessed by Prometrics testing agency. Upon successfully passing Prometrics testing, student names will be placed on the state registry of the Department of Health and Hospitals.
PreREQUISITES: Student must be at least 16 years old and have the following test scores:
ACT – Reading 13, Writing 13, Math 14 or
NextGen Accuplacer – Reading 239, Writing 230, Math 232
First Aid Credential (preferred)
COURSES: Nursing Assistant (Fall) 1 Carnegie Credit 4 dual enrollment credit hours
Skills Application (Spring) 1 Carnegie Credit 1 dual enrollment credit hour
