Special Education

Webster Parish Schools provides ongoing support to Students with Disabilities across the district. The Department of Special Education provides a continuum of direct, related, and support services to ensure that a free appropriate public education (FAPE) is available to all students with disabilities between the ages of 3 and 21 residing within the jurisdiction of Webster Parish. The Department of Special Education ensures that all procedures for the development and implementation of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process are followed.

Mission

It is the mission of the Webster Parish Schools Department of Special Education to identify the strengths and challenges of students in need of specialized instruction and to provide supports and services that will prepare each student to positively contribute and compete as an independent, responsible citizen in school and beyond.

We believe that all students can learn and meet high expectations. We advocate for students with disabilities and work with and establish practices that will foster growth to ensure that all students reach their highest potential.
