E. S. Richardson and J. L. Jones Finish Strong at First Regional Robotics Competition

E. S. Richardson finished 8th with J. L. Jones finishing 9th out of 24 area robotics teams. The Regional Autonomous Robotics Circuit (RARC) is a series of three robotics competitions for students in grades 3-12. The competitions build upon one another and allow students to showcase their STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and cyber skills by competing against other students in their division (elementary, middle and high school) in a series of integrated challenges. This is the third year that Jones has competed and the second for Richardson. Jennifer Santelices and Paige Chanler are new coaches for the Jones Elementary 3rd grade team this year. Olivia Sebald and Laura Bertucci coach Richardson's 4th and 5th grade team. The schools collaborate and strategize together along with the help of dedicated parent volunteer, Elisa Cupples.
